We went here to have a fun budget friendly day. It was awesome we have 4 kids ages 13 ,7 ,6 and 2 and they all enjoyed themselves. They all got to fake fish with their little set up . It has alot of interaction with items. Thier are hiking trails as well.
Amazing nature center! The entire experience is hands-on, visually stunning, and kid friendly. Enjoyed the scavenger hunt, all the live animals, beautiful aquarium and educational displays and indoor birdwatching station. Daughter LOVED the Montessori-style kids nature room complete with animal pelts, taxidermy, live snakes and turtles, climbing fort, and outdoor deck and play area. So glad we visited! The highlight was the “Critter Crunch” at 2pm where we got to watch the rat snake eat a mouse.
This place is an amazing resource for our community. Free to low-cost entertainment/educational activities for all ages. They offer fishing, an aquarium, a bird-watching corner, craft classes, boat rentals, fish feeding events, and more. I've been visiting for years and just hiked the trails for the first time today. I had no idea how expansive they were! It was great.
Just a wonderful evening stroll with my wife on Sunday evening! Not physically demanding, not so long of walk, 1.7 miles
Timed it perfectly during April where weather conditions were perfect and no bugs !! What are the chances 😂😂 …
Really nice nature museum ! Park playground and walking trails , fishing canoeing and archery! Gift shop. Free admission to everyone. I love bringing my grandkids here ! Even in a rainy day there’s plenty of play inside.
Went with a friend on the Wells Lake Trail for the first time. It was a good walk and everything was beautiful. Will definitely come back and check out the other trails.
This Nature Center is absolutely gorgeous! My dog and I love walking the trails around Wells Lake. The Nature Center has a lot of fun activities for children. You can also fish in the Lake. Very nice addition to the thriving Chaffee Crossing area of Fort Smith.
Wife and I really enjoyed this place. Relaxing. Fun. Would recommend it to families too.
Great walking/hiking trials and play area/sandpit outside, along with an indoor learning rooms for different animals and their habitats!
We had a great time painting rocks, playing nature bingo, and reading about the different animals in AR!! Fun place!
